Under the GOODWE Limited Warranty for Inverter System (Global market), Rev 5.2 dated 10 April 2026, both the on-grid inverters (DNS, DNS G3, DNS G4, SMT, MT and others) and the hybrids (ET, ET Plus+, ET LV, ETC and others) carry a 5-year standard warranty. The clock starts at first installation or six months after the manufacturing date, whichever comes first — worth checking, because stock that has sat in a warehouse eats into your cover before the system is switched on. Extensions are available as To 7, To 10, To 2+3, To 5+5, To 5+10, To 5+15 and To 5+20 years; for hybrids and units of 25 kW and above they must be purchased within 12 months of manufacture or six months of first installation. Read the scope carefully: the standard warranty covers parts and hardware only, not on-site labour or lost generation while you wait, unless you take the To 7 or To 10 package. On support in Thailand, GoodWe lists a Bangkok office at 33/4 Tower A, Rama 9 Road, 35th floor, with sales and service contacts. Why we use GoodWe in Phuket

Phuket gives inverters a hard time: heavy monsoon rain, near-constant humidity, high ambient heat, and many villa sites sitting within reach of salt-laden air off the Andaman. For power cuts during monsoon season, the ET PLUS+ transfers to back-up mode in under 10 ms — UPS territory — and supports 100% unbalanced output per phase, which matters in pool villas where the pool pump, chillers and air conditioning tend to sit on one leg; that is the case for hybrid with battery backup rather than a plain grid-tied system. On hotel and restaurant roofs split across several pitches and orientations, the SMT 60 kW offers six independent MPPTs so no array group drags down another, and our team handles the PEA permits end to end (Phuket is PEA territory, not MEA).

At product level, the SMT 50-60kW datasheet carries a footnote specifying 220/380 V output for Thailand's PEA grid, which shows the units are factory-configured for the local grid — that is a configuration note, not a certification claim. What we cannot confirm is a service centre or spare-parts stock in Phuket or the south, so we do not advertise one. How much does a GoodWe inverter cost in Phuket?

We do not publish figures here, because there is no verified official manufacturer price and the real selling price in Thailand depends on the model, import batch, stock position and which warranty extension you choose. More to the point, the inverter price alone tells you very little about total project cost: panels, mounting structure suitable for coastal conditions, cabling, protection devices, installation labour and the PEA grid-connection paperwork all sit on top. The practical route is a site survey — meter size, single-phase or three-phase supply, roof orientation, pitch and condition — followed by a written quotation that names the exact inverter model and system size. That gives you something you can genuinely compare against other contractors, rather than a headline price per watt.

Which GoodWe model suits a house, a pool villa, or a hotel?

For a single-phase house or townhouse with a 5-8 kWp array, the DNS G4 (for example the GW6K-DNS-G40) fits well: 9.2 kg, IP66, 25 dB, and 20 A per MPPT so it handles current high-current modules. For a larger home or pool villa on three-phase supply that needs power during outages, the ET PLUS+ GW10K-ET delivers 10 kVA of back-up with a 16.5 kVA peak for 60 seconds. For hotels, resorts, restaurants and factories with large multi-pitch roofs, the SMT 60 kW has six independent MPPTs and 98.6% peak efficiency; the MT 80 kW reaches 98.8% if you want fewer, larger units, though availability should be confirmed with the Thai distributor first. Note that the SMT, MT and DNS G4 datasheets do not state a maximum PV input power figure, so any oversizing needs manufacturer confirmation.

What battery works with the GoodWe ET PLUS+ hybrid?

The ET PLUS+ uses a high-voltage lithium battery in the 180-600 V range, nominally around 500 V, with one battery group supported and a maximum continuous charge and discharge of 25 A at 10,000 W. That rules out the widely available 48 V lithium packs sold in the Thai market — they simply will not work with this inverter — and you must select from GoodWe's Approved Battery Options list or the warranty is void. Budget for that when comparing hybrid quotes, since an approved high-voltage pack is a different cost class from a generic 48 V unit. On grid connection, we have not verified whether these specific models appear on PEA's accepted inverter list, so we check the current list before specifying a model, then handle the PEA application for you.
